Presentation Guidelines

Presentation Guidelines – 21st EAWE PhD Seminar

Each PhD student will have 12 minutes to present their research, followed by 3 minutes for Q&A. We encourage you to focus on the key aspects of your work — from the research problem to methodology, key findings (if applicable), and any challenges you’ve faced.

Key Points to Remember:

  • Strict Time Limits: You will have 12 minutes to present—please keep an eye on the time. The session chair will signal when you have 2 minutes left.

  • Presentation Style: Presentations should be clear and accessible to a diverse academic audience. You are welcome to design your slides as you see fit, and we do not provide a template. We recommend using high-quality, easy-to-read visuals with a simple design and minimal text. Focus on clarity!

  • Attire: We don't have a dress code. The goal is to create a comfortable atmosphere where everyone feels at ease.

  • Collaborative and Supportive Environment: This seminar is designed to be a friendly, open, and supportive space. We are all here to learn from each other, and constructive feedback is encouraged. Engage with the Q&A session positively, and feel free to share your thoughts and ideas in a collegial manner

Submission: Please submit your presentation in PDF or PowerPoint format using this link by the Monday 29th of September.

We’re excited to hear about your research, and we look forward to a day of rich, engaging discussions!
